This afternoon former group member Lannah Abasi successfully defended her PhD thesis at UCSD. Her talk was titled “Investigation of phase separation in heterochomatin organization and neurological disease”. Congratulations and welcome to the club, Dr Abasi!

Welcome to Zeni Fontanilla, a new undergraduate research student in the lab! She, along with Adam Andrade (who attended our group meetings last semester) have formally joined the group. Both are excited to get started – welcome to our research family!

This morning Scarlett presented a poster of her research at the CSUBIOTECH symposium. She had a lot of interest from symposium attendees, and was busy presenting through the entire poster session!
